Santa Ana Man Arrested for Fake License and Phony $100 Bills in Irvine

Irvine police made a surprising discovery during a routine traffic stop over the weekend when they pulled over 23-year-old Dayner Chacon Lara from Santa Ana. The suspect initially presented a fake driver’s license, but after further investigation, officers determined his real identity, discovering he didn’t have a valid driver’s license.

Upon searching Lara’s vehicle, officers found "funny money," a stolen license plate, and several pieces of mail belonging to other individuals. Lara was arrested and booked on multiple charges, including possessing stolen property and a deceptive government ID.

The Irvine Police Department provided the information for this story.
