Community Rallies Together to Heal After Eaton Fire: "Dena Heals" Offers Hope and Support
In the wake of the devastating Eaton Fire, a powerful coalition of community organizations and local businesses has come together to support those impacted by the tragedy. Mike de la Rocha, co-owner of Tepito Coffee in Pasadena, witnessed the destruction firsthand, as the fire came dangerously close to his business.
But instead of standing by, he and his team immediately sprang into action, delivering coffee and comfort to firefighters and victims. What started as a small act of kindness has now grown into "Dena Heals"—a hub for healing, where people can find not only physical relief, but emotional support as well.
Offering free clothing, wellness services, and a space for community healing, "Dena Heals" is giving Pasadena residents, especially those from Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities, a chance to regain a sense of dignity and normalcy after the flames.
