Teen Killed, Six Injured in Shooting at Woodland Hills House Party

A 16-year-old boy has been identified as the victim of a deadly shooting at a house party in Woodland Hills early Sunday morning, Feb. 9. The shooting occurred around 1:30 a.m. on the 5900 block of Winnetka Avenue, just north of the 101 Freeway.

The teenager, Sah-Dell Roberts, was found in the driveway of the house and was pronounced dead at the scene. Six other people were injured in the shooting, which took place after an argument inside the house. As the suspect was being escorted out by security, he fired several shots into a crowd of partygoers before fleeing the scene.

The event, organized as a "flyer party," had attracted as many as 300 people. It was held at a luxury rental home, described as an "LA mega-mansion" available for $2,121 a night. The property owner stated that he was unaware of the nature of the event and had been told it would be a smaller gathering. The event caused significant damage to the property.

The party was organized by Rage Parties, a social networking app for college students in Orange County and Los Angeles that promotes large-scale gatherings. The group expressed their devastation over the events, offering their support to the victims and their families. Two of their members, a security guard and a founder, were hospitalized for injuries.

As of now, police have not released a description of the suspect. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward by contacting LAPD’s Operation Valley Bureau or Crime Stoppers.
