Deputies Respond to Burglary in Progress on W. Jackman Street, Three Detained

Palmdale, CA – Sheriff’s deputies responded to a burglary in progress Monday night on the 1100 block of W. Jackman Street, leading to a tense confrontation and the detention of three individuals.

Authorities received the initial 911 call reporting an attempted break-in at a residence. As deputies were en route with lights and sirens activated (Code 3), dispatchers noted that the caller suddenly stopped answering questions. While the call remained open, struggling noises could be heard in the background, raising concerns for the safety of those inside the home.

Moments later, a voice was heard on the open line warning, “You’re only going to make this worse.” It remains unclear who made the statement or if it was directed at the caller, the intruder, or responding officers.

Deputies arrived swiftly and made entry into the home, where they secured the scene and detained three individuals. While details about their identities or involvement in the break-in are still under investigation, deputies requested additional backup to assist with the burglary probe.

As of now, it remains unclear whether the detained individuals were residents, suspects, or others involved in the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the break-in.

No injuries have been reported at this time. Anyone with additional information about the incident is urged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

This is a developing story. More updates will be provided as they become available.
