Woman Shot in Palmdale After Affair Exposed, Husband Believes He Was the Target
A woman was shot in Palmdale on Friday night around 10:00 pm when a man, whom her husband believes was targeting him, opened fire on their vehicle. The woman, who was struck in the shoulder, drove herself and her husband to the Palmdale Sheriff station parking lot, where she was immediately treated by deputies before being transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center by ambulance.
According to the woman’s husband, the couple was sitting inside their car in the parking lot of Sams' Liquor store, located in the 1000 block of East Palmdale Blvd, when a man approached the driver side. Without warning, the man began shooting at them. One of the bullets went through the rear passenger window, striking the woman in her left shoulder.
The woman’s husband believes that the shooter, known only by the nickname “Animosity,” is the husband of the woman he’s been having an affair with. He suspects that the shooter was targeting him, but the bullet missed and hit his wife instead. The husband also mentioned that he had been aware of the affair, but the situation had escalated when the shooter confronted them that evening.
The gunshot victim is reported to be in stable condition, though further updates on her health are not yet available. Law enforcement is continuing to investigate the incident. There are no other details or suspects to report at this time.
