Small Plane Crashes into Temple City Backyard, No Injuries Reported

A small plane crashed into a backyard in Temple City on Monday morning, Jan. 6, but fortunately, no one was injured. The incident occurred around 7:50 a.m. when a single-engine Cessna 150, carrying two people, crashed in the 4900 block of Arden Drive.

The plane did not hit the house, as no one was home at the time, according to Lt. Dave Hernandez of the sheriff’s department. Instead, the aircraft struck a pine tree, spun around, and ended up caught in bushes.

Both the pilot and passenger were unharmed and were checked out at the scene by emergency responders. Kevin Morris, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), confirmed the details of the crash. Fire officials also reported no injuries from the incident.
